Getting Started
XAUVANT is a desktop trading application for Windows that connects to MetaTrader 5 that trades the XAUUSD (Gold/USD) pair. It combines 19 technical edge signals, the Agent Desk (Risk, Location, Structure, Macro, Memory agents + Claude Desk Chief), Bayesian self-learning that adapts per trade, COT positioning data, and a 3-phase news system. Install the app, connect your MT5 account, and XAUVANT handles everything — scanning, entry, management, and exit — automatically.
After purchase you’ll receive a welcome email with a link to your dashboard. Download the installer, run it on your Windows PC or VPS, launch XAUVANT, and sign in with the same email you used at checkout. Open MetaTrader 5 with AutoTrading enabled, set your risk in Settings, and press Start. See Discord setup if you want alerts in your own server.
XAUVANT is built exclusively for MetaTrader 5 (MT5). It will not work on MetaTrader 4. The desktop app connects to MT5 via the official Python API for multi-timeframe data and trade execution. MT5 is free to download from your broker or the MetaQuotes website.
XAUVANT works with any account size, but we recommend a minimum of $2,000 to run the default 1% risk setting effectively. At 1% risk on a $2,000 account, 1R = $20 — meaning a typical month of 3–5R covers the license fee with room to spare.

On accounts below $1,000, you would need to increase the risk percentage to 3–4% to see returns that justify the license cost. That's workable, but it increases drawdown exposure and reduces the margin for losing streaks. The smaller the account, the more important it is to start on a demo account first and only go live once you're comfortable with how the bot behaves.
Yes — we offer a 7-day free trial. Email us at support@xauvant.com to request a trial account. You’ll get full dashboard access so you can test XAUVANT on a demo account before committing. Trials expire after 7 days.
Technical
Shadow trading mode lets XAUVANT run all its signal analysis and AI decisions without placing real orders. Every trade is logged and evaluated exactly as it would be in live mode — you get the full picture of how the bot would have performed without any capital at risk. It’s the ideal way to validate the strategy on your broker’s feed before going live.
Yes — XAUVANT requires Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit) because MetaTrader 5 is a Windows application. Mac and Linux users can run XAUVANT on a Windows VPS (Virtual Private Server). A low-cost VPS with 4GB RAM and a stable internet connection is all you need.
Absolutely — in fact, we recommend it for uninterrupted 24/5 operation. Any Windows VPS with at least 4GB RAM, a dual-core CPU, and a stable internet connection will work perfectly. Popular options include Contabo, Vultr, and HostZealot. Installing on a VPS is identical to a local Windows machine.
XAUVANT works with any MT5 broker that offers the XAUUSD symbol. We recommend brokers with low-latency execution and tight spreads on gold — ECN/STP brokers generally perform best. Popular choices include ICMarkets, Pepperstone, FP Markets, and Exness. Avoid brokers with very wide XAUUSD spreads (>5 points) as this will affect strategy performance.
Each license allows installation on up to 2 machines. If you want to run XAUVANT across more machines or on multiple separate MT5 accounts simultaneously, you’ll need an additional license. Email us at support@xauvant.com and we’ll help you get set up.
Discord is optional and uses your own server — not a shared XAUVANT channel.

1. Create an application at discord.com/developers and add a Bot (enable Message Content Intent).
2. Invite the bot to your server and create a private channel (e.g. #xauvant).
3. In Discord, enable Developer Mode (Settings → Advanced), then right-click the channel → Copy Channel ID.
4. In XAUVANT → Settings, paste your Bot Token, Channel ID, and optionally a Webhook URL for alerts-only mode.
5. Optionally add your Discord user ID under Allowed User IDs so only you can run commands like pause or status.

Restart the bot after saving Discord settings. Commands available: pause, resume, status, close — manual buy/sell via Discord is not enabled.
Trading
The Agent Desk is a team of specialist agents that vote before any trade. Risk Officer enforces daily caps, loss streaks, and spread limits. Location hard-blocks chasing (e.g. longs into day-high premium or stretched RSI). Structure checks BOS/CHoCH, liquidity sweeps, and HTF alignment. Macro weighs DXY, COT, and yields. Memory surfaces win rates on similar setups and rolling auto-lessons from closed trades. Only then does the Desk Chief (Claude + chart) issue the final decision.
The Desk Chief receives every agent brief plus the full market packet — score, session, COT, DXY, volatility, news window, similar-trade stats, and an H4+M15 chart — and returns BUY, SELL, or HOLD with a confidence score. If confidence is below your threshold, the trade is skipped even when confluence is hot. Agent Desk vetoes (location, risk) are enforced in code and cannot be overridden by the AI.
The 20 signals include session edges (Asian range, London/NY fixes, NY lunch fade), macro (DXY inverse, yields, COT, VIX, geo break), technical (micro trend, H4 pullback, RSI extreme, round numbers, vol regime), and classical market structure: market_structure (BOS + HTF alignment), market_structure_shift (CHoCH), liquidity_sweep, plus session_range_reject for shadow range scalps. Each fires independently; XAUVANT requires minimum confluence before a trade.
No. XAUVANT is purpose-built for XAUUSD (Gold/USD) only. Every signal, the news filter, the DXY correlation logic, and the risk parameters are tuned specifically for gold’s volatility profile and session behaviour. This specialisation is a deliberate design choice — a focused edge beats a generalised strategy on most instruments.
Partial backtesting is supported in MT5 Strategy Tester. Technical signals, Agent Desk rules (location/risk), and risk logic are testable. The Desk Chief uses a simulated scoring mode during backtesting (live Claude API calls aren’t available in the tester). Backtests approximate, but don’t perfectly replicate, live Agent Desk + AI behavior. We recommend forward testing on a demo account.
